How to hide a file/folder in windows 7?

The most basic way to do this is as follows

Step 1 : Press windows. Type 'Folder Options' search box.Press enter.
Step 2 : Select View. In Advanced settings select Don't show hidden files,folders,or drives. Click apply and enter.

Step 3 : Now Right click on the file/folder , go to properties.
Step 4 : Select Hidden in the Attributes. The file get hided .
